So much that's happened in 2 months!

Since I have gone back to work, Brianne has gotten to experience many different babysitters. She has stayed at home with Dad many times, visited a bunch with Grandma and Grandpa Streight, stayed with Great-grandma Williamson and stayed with a couple of good friends. Bri is quite the socialite. She loves to look and play with many different people. She now has the cutest laugh and a gorgeous smile. She likes to be carried around and shown the world. Also, she likes to lay on the floor and kick and squirm. So far, I've only seen her roll over once, which brought me so much joy. She didn't really like being on her tummy, but we'll keep working on it. Lately, when I'm nursing her she plays a game of eating-then-stopping-and-starring-at-mommy. It's so cute, but can be frustrating after a few minutes. I'm still waiting for the night she sleeps all the way through. Mommy and Daddy will be so happy and suprised when that day comes. Brianne will be starting day care on Monday when I start my new job. I'm hoping she will have fun with her new friends. Wish us luck. Sorry this posting is so scattered; that's new mommy brain for you. Hopefully I will post more regularly soon.

Brianne's Big Adventure in Sonoma

There was a little girl

who had a little curl

right in the middle of her forehead.

When she was good,

she was very, very good,

and when she was bad

she was horrid!

We know, of course, that Brianne could never be horrid. Not ever!

This week, Brianne had her first big car trip with Mom and Grandma to visit her Aunties Timi and Jodi. She went to the Sonoma town party and farmer's market with the ladies and took a ride in her stroller. She met another baby, listened to music, and watched trees and people. Miss Brianne also got to meet cats, go shopping in Santa Rosa, and go to a restaurant for lunch. She was a very busy little girl!

Brianne is doing all kinds of new things, including doing what looks to just about everyone like genuine smiling. She is wonderfully sweet and alert when she is awake, and she steals everyone's hearts. She is, indeed, the best baby ever.

Mom's first update

Hello everyone! Just a quick update on my beautiful baby girl, Brianne Erica Johnson. She was born June 25, 2008, at 3:01pm. She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long. Bri lost a lil' weight, as most babies do, but as of today at her doctor's appointment she weighs 9 lbs and is 22 1/2 inches. She's a very healthy eater and is training her parents to her every need. It's so amazing to watch her change every day. There's always something new we notice about her. A new facial expression, her fascination with looking at her toys and loving to hear people talk. Sometimes it seems like she is trying to talk to us or to her toys. Anyway, I will try and keep you updated on the ever changing Brianne.
